Moon water is generally made during the full moon or new moon. It is also known as blessed water or holy water. It has many uses, only a few being:
•Cleansing/Purifying
•Help heal small wounds
•Honour the goddess
•Enhance spells
It can be used for crystal elixirs, put into a charm or added as an ingredient for a spell. Moon Water can also be used to cleanse one's home of negativity. A good example might be boiling it and fanning the steam and saying some sort of chant. Moon water, like everything else in witchcraft, only works if your intent is strong and your faith is stronger. If you have doubts, it more than likely won't work.
You can also call upon your goddesses/deities for help with making moon water or enhancing it.
Moon water can be ingested as it is NOT poisonous or harmful to your body. However, moon water does need to be charged in order to be activated. The only way to do this is under the full or new moon and with a crystal of your choice. I recommend making sure that the crystal corresponds with what you want from the moon water.
In order to make moon water, you'll need:
A jar
Water (can be tap, distilled, spring, holy, whatever...it really doesn't matter)
Salt (optional)
Purifying Sigil or Sigil for the goddex you worship (optional)
Instructions:
●Procure yourself a clear container: a bowl, jar or glass – avoid plastic. I use a huge, glass jar with a built in spigot – see photo to the left. I purchased the jar at Bed, Bath & Beyond. A large mason jar works well too.
●Fill it with water of your choice: spring, filtered, distilled or tap water. You can bless the water with sage, then close your eyes and charge the water with your intent. What do you desire?
●Take the container filled with water outside to the clearest area you can find, unobstructed by overhanging trees and other things. Make sure this area will be undisturbed. It’s even better if this area is special to you, like a sacred space. Set the container down and let the moon do her thing… infuse the water with lunar energy.
●If you like, you can add some frills: surround the bowl with crystals, gemstones, statues, flowers, incense, etc…
Additional Notes:
Instead of sage, you can use salt to purify it
You can charge it inside rather than outside if that's more convenient-just make sure it's facing the moon
